ChemBioFrance

ChemBioFrance is a national research infrastructure certified in 2018 by the Ministry of Higher Education,
Research and Innovation. Its mission is to provide an integrated range of services for the discovery and use of small molecules for "health and research" (biotools and drug candidates).
ChemBioFrance is a distributed infrastructure throughout the national territor and is based on the following pillars:

- The French National Chemical Library (CN), has for mission to federate a collection of synthesis compounds and natural extracts and distributes them to biologists. 48 academic teams are currently members of CN, including 3 located in Montpellier;
- A chemoinformatics platform distributed over 6 sites, including Montpellier;
- A network of 9 screening platforms, including one located in Montpellier;
- A network of three ADME toxicology platforms.
The headquarters of the infrastructure is located in Montpellier, as well as the CNRS unit in charge of its management.

THE ANNUAL MEETING OF THE FRENCH NATIONAL CHEMICAL LIBRARY - CHEMBIOFRANCE

The annual meeting of the French National Chemical Library - ChemBioFrance are very important for this community and are an opportunity for the 60 laboratories members of the infrastructure to exchange their experiences on current collaborations and to define the directions and objectives for the coming year.
They also allow the organization of a mini-symposium around themes at the interface of chemistry and biology. They are articulated around 3 plenary lectures by senior researchers and a flash communications session (3 min) and posters by students and young researchers.
A hundred people are expected including reseachers (30) located around Montpellier.

Local committee

High place (among others) of extreme sport, contemporary architecture and street art, Montpellier is also one of the oldest universities in France. Each year, it welcomes nearly 130,000 students (half the population of Montpellier!) for largely multidisciplinary training. Research is of course also very active, with a significant presence of several research organizations (CNRS, INSERM, IRD, INRA, etc.), the University of Montpellier, Paul Valéry University and other educational establishments superior. Several areas are particularly developed in Montpellier, such as agronomy and ecology for which Montpellier is at the top of the world ranking of Shanghai.

Montpellier is also an important city for ChemBioFrance, since it is the headquarters of the infrastructure, as well as several units participating in the pillars of chemical library, screening and chemoinformatics.

Génopolys, a recent building with original architecture, specially designed to host such meetings, is easily accessible from the tram (20 minutes from the train station and the city center) or by car. The plenary sessions will take place in a large amphitheater and the workshops in several small rooms. Sponsors who wish to exhibit their products and chat with conference attendees are welcome.

The organizing committee will have the great pleasure of welcoming the members of ChemBioFrance and their guests for the second annual meeting, on July 01 and 02 nd, 2021.
